We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Waiter to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fine dining and a strong understanding of French cuisine. As the Head Waiter, you will be responsible for overseeing the front‑of‑house operations and ensuring that our guests receive impeccable service. You will work closely with the restaurant manager to maintain high standards and create a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome guests in a warm and professional manner
  • Manage and supervise the front‑of‑house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders
  • Train new staff members and provide ongoing training and development for current staff
  • Ensure that all guests are seated and served in a timely and efficient manner
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining area
  • Take and process guest orders accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure that all food and drinks are served according to the restaurant's standards
  • Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food to guests
  • Handle any guest complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and wine list
  • Prepare and present guest checks, process payments, and handle cash and credit card transactions
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in a fine dining restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of French cuisine and wine
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
  • Knowledge of POS systems and basic math skills
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of French is a plus
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
