QC Engineer; Interior Fit Projects

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced QC Engineer to oversee quality assurance and quality control across interior fit-out projects. The role is responsible for ensuring that all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and client requirements, while complying with local regulations and industry best practices.

Experience:

5-7+ years (UAE experience required)

Remuneration: up to AED 14,000 (depending on experience)

• Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures for interior fit-out works.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Inspect workmanship across all interior disciplines including:
  • Joinery, carpentry, and woodworks
  • Gypsum, partitions, and ceilings
  • Marble, tiles, and flooring
  • Painting, wall finishes, and decorative works
• Identify non-conformances and issue NCRs, ensuring timely corrective actions.

• Review and approve material submittals, mock-ups, and samples in coordination with consultants and clients.
• Maintain quality documentation including:
  • Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Quality checklists
  • Inspection reports
  • NCR and corrective action logs
• Ensure compliance with UAE standards, project specifications, and contract requirements.

• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve quality-related issues.
• Attend inspections with consultants and clients and close observations.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.

• Support project handover activities including:
  • Snag list preparation and closure
  • As-built documentation
  • O&M manuals and final approvals

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in interior fit-out projects, with strong UAE market exposure.
• Proven experience working with main contractors or interior fit-out contractors in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and ISO standards.
• Familiarity with Dubai / Abu Dhabi municipality regulations and consultant approvals.

• Strong attention to detail and quality mindset
• Excellent knowledge of interior finishing standards
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of project documentation systems is an advantage
