Position: Avian Specialist with DHA

Talentspoc is seeking a dedicated Avian Specialist with a DHA (Dubai Health Authority) licensing to join our veterinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of avian species, providing high-quality care and ensuring the wellbeing of birds in our facility. Our ideal candidate has a passion for avian health, strong veterinary skills, and a commitment to exceptional animal care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of avian patients.
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of illnesses and injuries in birds.
  • Perform surgical and non-surgical procedures, including avian anesthesia and operative techniques.
  • Provide client education on avian care, nutrition, and health management.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with veterinary standards.
  • Collaborate with a team of veterinary professionals to ensure comprehensive care of avian species.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in avian medicine and treatments.
  • Participate in outreach and education efforts within the community regarding bird care and welfare.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school.
  • Valid DHA license to practice veterinary medicine.
  • Experience in avian medicine and surgery, with a focus on exotic birds is preferred.
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills specific to the avian population.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work well in a fast‑paced veterinary environment.
  • Commitment to continuous education and staying current with veterinary advancements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in record‑keeping.
  • Compassion for animals and dedication to ethical veterinary practice.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
