About the team
The Marketing Team is responsible for driving brand, customer and business growth across the UAE, KW and Qatar. We do this by developing marketing strategies and programs to build awareness, create demand, optimize traffic, and continually improve our brand experience for customers to deliver growth for the business. We apply research, analyze performance metrics, and provide product and industry expertise and understanding of customer behavior to inform and refine the business’ marketing strategy and execution.
We develop content, manage, and deliver targeted merchandising and promotional activities. We apply customer-centric methodologies to improve our brand experience for customers. We drive marketing excellence by measuring efficiency and effectiveness of activities. We deliver improvements in the process to scale delivery.
About the role
Reporting directly to the Marketing Director for the Middle East, the Senior Marketing Manager, Value and Promotions will collaborate with Central Marketing and local marketing & commercial teams to define and execute promotional strategies aligned with business goals. A primary focus will be leveraging promotions and value propositions to strategically influence customer behavior and maximize returns for Deliveroo and its partners.
Key responsibilities include quarterly planning, establishing a test and learn framework to identify and implement promotional best practices, and proactively uncovering future growth opportunities. This involves considering business priorities, analyzing past promotional performance, and staying abreast of market trends.
You will work cross-functionally across local & global teams, specifically Commercial, Finance, Tech and Data Science to build the right plan and define processes that improve our customer experience, as well as identify improvements in the way that promotions are executed at Deliveroo.
What you'll be doing
Quarterly Planning: Lead the quarterly planning process for promotional activities, taking into account business priorities, partner objectives, past performance of promotions, and market trends to proactively identify future growth opportunities. Align promotional plans across central and local marketing teams, ensuring the necessary technical, reporting, and targeting foundations are in place for successful execution.
Promo Strategy Development: Work with the Marketing Director to define and implement a robust promotional strategy based on business objectives, with a particular focus on how promotions and value propositions can strategically change customer behavior and drive return for Deliveroo and our Partners.
Customer Focused Promo Programmes: Partner with our Tech, Data Science and insight teams to deeply understand customer needs, ensuring our promotional and value messages deliver compelling value and resonate with our audience. You’ll work with other members of the team to execute these across CRM and In app merchandising touchpoints.
Promo Execution & Operations: Lead promo execution, ensuring its operational efficiency across the teams. Provide on-going feedback to the Central teams to influence the tech roadmap to address opportunities and pain points. You'll ensure best-in-class execution and clear, relevant communication to customers.
Budget Management: Owning large budget lines for key initiatives, tracking and reporting spend closely and optimising plans for anticipated over / under spends.
Lead Test & Learn Agenda: Be the voice of Middle East on the global test and learn agenda, and work closely with global teams to design and execute local experiments, continuously seeking to optimize performance and codify promotional best practices.
Performance Analysis & Optimization: Own weekly reporting on in-flight campaign performance and conduct thorough post-campaign analysis. You'll identify key metrics of success, pinpoint areas for improvement, and uncover new opportunities for experimentation.
