Senior Communications Executive

The Senior Communications Executive will play a key role in driving the communications agenda for GMG’s diverse portfolio of non-sports brands, including supermarkets, pharmacies, nutrition, wellness, beauty, personal care, and everyday lifestyle brands. The role focuses on building brand equity, trust, and customer engagement through powerful storytelling, media relations, and integrated communications. This position ensures that every campaign, seasonal moment, launch, and initiative is amplified with the right narrative across earned, owned, and shared channels, reinforcing each brand’s purpose and strengthening GMG’s presence in the region.
Responsibilities- Lead the development and rollout of communications strategies for major campaigns, product launches, store openings, and brand initiatives across non-sports brands.
- Craft compelling press releases, media kits, and storytelling content that highlight value propositions, innovation, community impact, and customer benefits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with lifestyle, business, retail, wellness, food, and health media across the region.
- Partner with influencers, content creators, health experts, chefs, pharmacists, and wellness advocates to deliver authentic, credible brand narratives.
- Manage and align PR agencies with each brand’s positioning, category tone-of-voice, and business priorities.
- Amplify retail and experiential activations (store campaigns, sampling, seasonal events, health days, family weekends) through proactive communications.
- Track media coverage, share of voice, and brand sentiment — providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Support crisis and issue management specific to non-sports brands (food safety, customer claims, product recalls, pharmacy compliance communication).
- Mentor juniors or interns working on communications tasks.
- Own and strategize the social media content calendar and rollout, ensuring cohesion between PR, content, and campaign messaging.
- 3–5 years of experience in PR, communications, or brand marketing within retail, FMCG, beauty, pharmacy, wellness, or consumer goods.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills tailored to retail, lifestyle, and consumer audiences.
- Strong understanding of earned media, influencer marketing, and multi-channel amplification.
- Knowledge of retail communications, consumer behavior, wellness trends, and brand trust dynamics.
- Competence in media monitoring, analytics, and reporting.
- Proven ability to manage campaigns, launches, events, and seasonal moments across MENA.
- Strong understanding of the media and influencer ecosystem in the MENA region
