An Operations Engineer in the Ready Mixed Concrete (RMC) industry is responsible for overseeing the entire production lifecycle—from raw material inventory and batching accuracy to equipment maintenance and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Production Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of batching plants to ensure production targets are met. This includes managing batching accuracy for cement, aggregates, and water to maintain consistency.
- Equipment & Maintenance: Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for heavy machinery, including mixers, silos, conveyors, and transit mixers, to minimize downtime.
- Quality Control (QC): Collaborate with QC teams to ensure concrete mixes meet industry standards (e.g., BS, ASTM, ACI) and project-specific requirements.
- Logistics & Dispatch: Work with sales and dispatch teams to optimize delivery routes for transit mixers, ensuring concrete arrives at construction sites on schedule.
- Resource & Inventory Control: Manage raw material stocks (aggregates, cement, admixtures) and operational budgets to reduce waste and improve cost efficiency.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and standards, conducting regular inspections and safety audits.
