Position OverviewThis is a field-based technical role combining before-sales and after-sales technical support with close collaboration with the sales team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for welding demonstrations, on-site troubleshooting, technical customer support, and sales enablement activities across the Middle East region.
Key Responsibilities Technical Support – Before Sales- Provide technical support for selection of welding consumables and welding machines
- Conduct on-site and workshop-based welding demonstrations (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW)
- Recommend suitable welding processes and optimize welding parameters
- Support sales teams during customer meetings with technical presentations
- Participate in distributor roadshows, seminars, exhibitions, and technical marketing activities
- Conduct benchmarking tests against competitor products
- Support welding automation solutions where applicable
- Perform on-site troubleshooting for welding issues (arc stability, porosity, slag, penetration, bead appearance, etc.)
- Support basic welding machine service issues (parameter setup, wire feeding, torch, cables)
- Handle technical quality issues related to welding consumables
- Support investigation and resolution of welding-related claims
- Maintain strong post-sales technical relationships with customers and distributors
- Prepare and weld test coupons for demonstrations
- Support PQR / WPS qualification welding
- Support welder training and skill upgrading at customer and distributor sites
- Work closely with regional sales managers and distributors
- Support introduction of new products and technologies
- Provide market and technical feedback to internal teams and headquarters
- Contribute to new customer development through strong technical engagement
- Minimum 8 years of hands‑on experience in welding-related roles
- (e.g. Welding Demonstrator, Welding Instructor, Technical Service Engineer, Welding Application Engineer)
- Strong practical experience in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SAW
- Solid understanding of welding consumables and welding equipment
- Proven ability to work in customer-facing, field-based roles
- Good command of English (spoken and written)
- Willingness to travel frequently within the Middle East
- Experience with global welding brands
- Experience in welding automation systems
- Background in welder training or PQR/WPS support
- International or regional welding certifications (IWS, IWE, IWT, etc.)
- Valid UAE Light Vehicle Driving License is mandatory
- Academic degree is not mandatory for technically qualified candidates
- Compensation package will be discussed individually with shortlisted candidates
