Job Description

Joinery Foreman

Location: Dubai, UAE

Department: Production / Site Operations

Reports To: Production Manager / Project Manager

Industry: Joinery / Fit-Out / Interior Works

Salary : 4k to 5k AED

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Joinery Foreman to oversee factory production and site

installation activities for our joinery and fit-out projects. The ideal candidate must have strong

knowledge of carpentry machines, joinery materials, finishing techniques, and installation

processes. He should be capable of supervising both factory teams and site teams, ensuring

timely, high-quality outputs aligned with project requirements. UAE experience is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Factory Supervision

  • Oversee daily joinery production activities in the factory.
  • Operate and supervise the use of carpentry machines (panel saw, CNC, edge-banding, thicknesser, etc.).
  • Ensure correct use of materials such as MDF, plywood, solid wood, veneers, laminates, hardware, and finishing products.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure accuracy in cutting lists, fabrication details, and finishing work.
  • Check quality at every stage—cutting, assembling, sanding, polishing/painting.
  • Maintain machine safety and ensure all workers follow factory HSE procedures.

2. Site Supervision

  • Supervise joinery installation works at project sites including doors, cabinets, wardrobes, counters, skirting, wall cladding, etc.
  • Coordinate installation teams and ensure work matches approved drawings and specifications.
  • Resolve site issues, coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and clients when required.
  • Monitor materials delivery, site measurements, and installation schedule.
  • Maintain high-quality finishes and ensure snag-free completion.
  • Planning & Coordination
  • Prepare daily/weekly progress reports for factory and site works.
  • Coordinate with procurement for material requirements and stock availability.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Designers, and Draftsmen to clarify details and execution sequences.
  • Assist in manpower planning and workforce allocation between factory and site.

3. Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all joinery works meet company quality standards.
  • Implement company safety rules and ensure workers adhere to UAE HSE regulations.
  • Conduct inspections prior to handover and rectify defects promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum 8–10 years of joinery experience in the UAE.
  • Strong hands‑on knowledge of carpentry machines, tools, joinery materials, and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, cutting lists, and shop drawings.
  • Experience supervising both factory production and site installation teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • Valid UAE experience in joinery and fit‑out sector is required.

Preferred:

  • Experience in high-end joinery or interior fit-out projects.
  • Knowledge of CNC machine operations and modern joinery production methods.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting.
