Material Controller​/Storekeeper

Job Summary

Gilani Mobility Trading Co. LLC is seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Material Controller / Storekeeper to manage the receipt, storage, issuance, and control of materials, consumables, tools, spare parts, and finished products. The role supports uninterrupted production operations by ensuring material availability, accurate inventory records, and compliance with company procedures.

• Receive, inspect, and verify materials against purchase orders and delivery documents
• Ensure proper identification, labeling, and storage of materials
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date inventory records
• Monitor stock levels and report minimum, maximum, and reorder requirements
• Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts
• Investigate and report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged items
• Prepare material requests for consumables and standard stock items
• Coordinate with approved suppliers regarding deliveries and lead times

• Issue materials only against approved requisitions or shop orders
• Ensure correct quantity, specification, and condition during issuance
• Maintain traceability of materials to jobs or production orders
• Manage returns of unused and update inventory records accordingly

• Organize storage areas by category and usage
• Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and finished products
• Apply FIFO / FEFO practices where applicable
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store area in line with 5S principles

• Maintain inventory documents including GRNs, issue slips, return notes, and stock records
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and material movement reports
• Support internal and external audits through accurate documentation and physical verification

• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, and Engineering teams on material availability
• Communicate shortages, delays, or quality concerns to relevant departments
• Support procurement planning through stock and consumption data

• Follow company HSE guidelines and safe material handling practices
• Ensure proper storage of sensitive or controlled materials where applicable
• Report unsafe conditions or risks within the store area

• Accept or reject delivered materials based on quantity and visible condition
• Control material issuance strictly according to approved procedures
• Escalate discrepancies or system issues to management

• Strong organizational and record‑keeping skills
• Basic knowledge of inventory control principles
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Basic computer skills (Excel and inventory systems)

• Diploma or equivalent qualification
• 4–6 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial operations

• Factory / warehouse environment
• May involve physical handling of materials
• Working hours as per company policy, including overtime when required
