Electrical Technician

Job Title: Electrical Technician – Primary (Tobacco Industry)

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Electrical Technician with a strong background in the primary tobacco processing industry. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure smooth and continuous production operations.

• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment in the primary tobacco processing area.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical panels, control circuits, PLC systems, sensors, and drives.
• Monitor machine performance and ensure minimal downtime during production.
• Assist in equipment installation, commissioning, and calibration.
• Read, interpret, and rectify electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and machine layout plans.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, checklists, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company standards, and JAFZA policies.
• Collaborate with the mechanical and production teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and energy‑saving projects.

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the primary tobacco industry (experience is a must).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, sensors, motors, and industrial control equipment.
• Hands‑on experience with production line machinery used in tobacco processing.
• Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented environment.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot using electrical diagrams and machine plans.
