Job OverviewWe are looking for a seasoned Production Head to lead the Upholstery division of our client’s furniture manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process, optimizing efficiency, ensuring product quality, and managing a dedicated production team. The position requires a strong leader with a proven track record in upholstery manufacturing and excellent management skills.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the production team to ensure smooth and efficient operations within the Upholstery division.
- Streamline production processes for increased cost-efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with quality control managers to establish and execute quality control measures.
- Set production goals, monitor performance, and drive growth through efficient resource utilization.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the use of materials, manpower, and machinery.
- Identify and assess risks, ensuring they are mitigated to ensure factory safety and operational continuity.
- Lead and inspire the team to achieve maximum performance and foster a culture of innovation.
- Proven experience in managing a full-scale upholstery manufacturing factory.
- Strong understanding of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation).
- In-depth knowledge of industry-standard equipment and technical expertise.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent coaching, mentoring, and people management abilities.
- A passion for design and production processes in the furniture industry.
- Previous experience as a plant head or manager in an upholstery factory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably in Production or Mechanical).
- Advanced degrees (M.Tech., MBA) are a plus.
- 10-12 years of professional experience in production management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Native Italian speaker
- Demonstrate strong leadership to guide teams toward achieving production targets and maintaining high standards.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration and promote the sharing of best practices.
- Prioritize safety and compliance with regulations to maintain a healthy work environment.
