Job purpose
The technician‑painter is responsible for executing painting tasks with precision and efficiency to meet quality and safety standards. The role involves preparing and applying paint, ensuring adherence to project specifications, and optimizing material usage to reduce wastage. This position plays a key role in maintaining the aesthetic and protective finish of products while ensuring timely task completion.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Painting Process Execution- Follow approved painting procedures and work sequences to achieve consistent results.
- Prepare and mix paint in accordance with specified application methods and product requirements.
- Apply primer and topcoats, ensuring proper curing between layers for long‑lasting finishes.
- Maintain quality control by conducting self‑inspections and addressing any imperfections.
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, including proper handling of painting materials and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Complete painting assignments within the allocated time while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with supervisors and co‑workers to streamline workflow and meet production deadlines.
- Minimize material wastage through proper handling, mixing, and storage of paint.
- Maintain punctuality and adhere to workplace policies to ensure smooth operations.

- Timely task completion – Complete painting tasks as per agreed schedules without compromising quality. (Weightage: 30%)
- Material efficiency – Optimize paint usage, minimize wastage, and maintain inventory control. (Weightage: 20%)
- Quality assurance – Ensure all painted surfaces meet required specifications and industry standards. (Weightage: 20%)
- Safety compliance – Adhere to workplace safety regulations, maintaining a record of zero safety incidents. (Weightage: 15%)
- Workplace collaboration – Engage proactively in tasks and follow supervisor instructions effectively. (Weightage: 15%)

Certifications & Training: Training in industrial painting techniques and safety procedures is preferred.
Background and experience- Work Experience – Industry: Manufacturing, fabrication, or construction.
- Work Experience – Role:
Painting, surface preparation, or finishing work. - Work Experience – From (Years):
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or commercial painting. - Regulatory Knowledge:
Understanding of workplace safety regulations related to painting and hazardous materials. - Work Environment Details:
Workshop‑based role with exposure to paint chemicals and fumes. - Specific Requirements – Travel:
