Performance Management
  • Ensure that all department reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet Bahri’s requirements, policies, and quality standards.
  • Manage the effective achievement of assigned objectives through the leadership of the department by setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing, and motivating staff to maximize performance.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
  • Develop and recommend the department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget while ensuring all activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.
  • Manage and ensure effective implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and controls covering all areas of assigned departmental activities so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
Operations

  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities across strategic cargo segments and emerging markets.
  • Act as the commercial lead for securing cargoes and maximizing fleet employment across key trade lanes.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of cargo opportunities through direct client engagement and broker channels.
  • Contribute to long-term fleet deployment planning and trade lane development for the MPP segment.
  • Own the commercial P&L of the MPP segment, with responsibility for revenue targets and cost control.

  • Maintain strong relationships with brokers, shippers, freight forwarders, and port agents.
  • Ensure timely and accurate voyage instructions, laytime calculations, and dispute resolution when necessary.
  • Coordinate with operations teams to align vessel capabilities with cargo requirements.
