Client Relationship Manager, Business Management
The Account Director is the commercial and strategic owner of client relationships at YAZ Media. This role is responsible for driving client growth, revenue expansion, and long-term partnership value, while ensuring work is scoped, priced, and delivered in a commercially sound way across all departments and services. The Account Director is not a project manager they are a senior client leader and growth driver, balancing client trust, internal alignment, and business performance.
Responsibilitiesand Duties
- Client Leadership & Ownership
Own senior client relationships and act as the main point of accountability. Build long‑term, trusted partnerships with key client stakeholders. Ensure high client satisfaction, retention, and relationship continuity. Lead strategic conversations beyond day‑to‑day execution.
- Revenue Growth & Upselling
Drive revenue growth across existing clients through upselling and cross‑selling. Identify opportunities across Social, Production, Web, and PR services. Lead commercial discussions, proposals, and scope expansions. Work with internal teams to shape commercially viable solutions.
- Commercial & Scope Management
Own scoping, pricing, and commercial structure of client engagements. Ensure all work is clearly defined, sold within agreed margins, and aligned with internal capacity. Protect the agency from scope creep and underpricing. Escalate pricing exceptions and discounts when required.
- Strategic Account Planning
Understand client business objectives, challenges, and KPIs. Translate client needs into clear strategic directions for internal teams. Support annual and quarterly planning for key accounts. Ensure work aligns with both client goals and agency growth targets.
- Internal Coordination & Collaboration
Work closely with Creative, Strategy, Production, Web, PR, and Media teams. Coordinate cross‑department efforts without bias toward any single service line. Ensure briefs are clear, realistic, and aligned with delivery capabilities. Act as the bridge between client expectations and internal execution.
- Delivery Oversight (Not Execution)
Maintain high‑level oversight of delivery quality and timelines. Step in only when delivery, scope, or client satisfaction is port teams in resolving challenges without micromanaging execution.
- 5+ years of experience in a digital, social, or integrated agency.
- Proven experience managing senior client relationships.
- Demonstrated track record of growing existing accounts.
- Experience working with complex, multi‑service clients.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
- Clear understanding of agency economics, scope, and margins.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to balance client needs with internal realities.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem‑solving ability.
- Regional & Cultural Fit:
Experience working with Middle East / GCC clients. Strong understanding of regional business and communication dynamics. - Arabic language is a strong plus.
