We are seeking an experienced and commercially-minded Director – Real Estate Investments & Asset Management to lead the strategic deployment, management, and optimisation of the Family Office’s real estate portfolio.
This role will serve as the central point for investment origination, analysis, execution, asset performance oversight, and long-term value enhancement across a diverse portfolio including income-producing assets, development sites, joint ventures, and landbank holdings.
The ideal candidate will blend deep investment expertise with hands‑on asset management execution, strong governance discipline, and strategic decision‑making capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute real estate investment strategies aligned with long‑term portfolio objectives.
- Manage capital allocation, diversification, portfolio rotation, and value‑creation programmes.
- Recommend monetisation opportunities and strategic redeployment initiatives.
- Maintain long‑term view across yields, capital growth, and portfolio risk dynamics.
- Identify and assess income assets, development opportunities, joint ventures, and structured investments.
- Lead valuation modelling (DCF, IRR, NPV) and underwriting papers.
- Negotiate agreements, term sheets, structures, and financing arrangements.
- Prepare and deliver investment recommendations to the CIO and Investment Committee.
- Drive deal execution, documentation closure, and approval tracking.
- Oversee existing income‑producing properties, leasing cycles, rent flows and enhancements.
- Ensure operating assets meet yield targets, occupancy standards, and compliance requirements.
- Track portfolio‑wide IRR, NOI, occupancy rates and valuation changes.
- Manage valuation cycles via external valuers and auditors.
- Manage vacant plots and development properties, assessing highest‑and‑best‑use.
- Evaluate JV structures, development options, and timing decisions.
- Drive monetisation plans including divestment or JV execution.
- Monitor progress, budget adherence and feasibility evolution.
- Lead the governance model for real estate‑related decision‑making.
- Present performance reports to CIO and Investment Committee.
- Maintain structured reporting dashboards and portfolio trackers.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the real estate team.
- Monitor UAE sub‑markets for price movements, yields, absorption trends, and regulation.
- Build investment themes and forward‑looking market insights.
- Maintain pipeline database and comparable transaction benchmarks.
- Represent the Family Office in meetings, conferences and strategic external engagements.
- 12–15 years’ experience in real estate investment, development, or asset management.
- Experience managing acquisition execution and asset‑level performance.
- Proven track record of income asset oversight and monetisation structuring.
- Strong network with brokers, developers, and consulting ecosystem.
- MBA, CFA or equivalent advanced qualification preferred.
- Investment acumen and strong financial modelling capability.
- Leadership, stakeholder management, and cross‑functional coordination.
- Deep familiarity with UAE real estate regulatory environment.
- High governance awareness and disciplined reporting capability.
