Develop and implement strategies to grow products/services mainly the Sea Freight segment.

Responsibilities
  • Identify potential clients, market trends, and opportunities for expansion.
  • Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements with clients.
  • Prepare and submit performance forecast/projections and its work plan of a subsequent month on the 28th of every month.
  • Prepare & submit performance reports against set KPIs on a monthly basis by the 15th of every month.
  • Manage and develop own set of customers to reach the targets assigned.
Team Management
  • Bring/Build & Manage:
    Sales team of 5 (including 1 SM, 2 BDM & 2 SEs) the Team structure depends on the HoS’s strategy and how he wants to achieve this.
  • Head the Team and ensure that the team achieves their respective individual targets.
  • Ensure the team is well mentored, coached and motivated.
  • Create actionable goals that make it possible to turn that mission into tangible results.
  • Set performance goals, provide coaching, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the team.
  • Conduct daily huddle, weekly meetings etc. with sales team to review progress and to work out plans/address any issues or concerns if any.
  • Prepare Annual Training plan for the department and submit to HR by 15th of December every year.
  • Identify functional training/behavioral skills required to enhance knowledge and skills of each direct reports.
Commercial Management
  • Create and manage Team/departmental budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and maximize profitability.
  • Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders especially clients and seek opportunities for account growth.
Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and retention through excellent service delivery.
Strategic Planning
  • Collaborate with senior management to set long-term goals and objectives for the department.
  • Provide input on the company's overall strategic direction and growth initiatives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape.
Market Analysis and Research
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential partners.
  • Analyze competitors' offerings, pricing strategies, and market positioning.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, trade policies, and global economic trends.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in management, business administration, finance, or marketing required.
  • Masters of Business Administration recommended.
  • Must have at least 10 years’ experience in strategic planning, business management, corporate leadership, and financial decision-making.
  • Must have demonstrated proficiency in analytical research, leadership, and strategic planning.
Required Skills
  • Must possess exceptional creativity and problem-solving skillsli>
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of management strategies, financial accounting, human resource planning, customer relations, and implementation of new technologies.
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking and communicating both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to multitask with research projects, data analysis, coordination with the executive team, and acting as the public face of the company in the absence of the company’s CEO.
  • Must be willing to challenge the standard thinking with new ideas, new approaches, and new solutions.
  • Must have strong decision-making skills and the determination to see projects through to the end.
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, management, and collaboration.
  • Must be self-directed and able to work independently.
