The Mandate
Talent Hive is hiring a Director – Business Development to own, lead, and scale retained recruitment revenue across the UAE and Saudi Arabia
.
This role is for a proven agency-side hunter and revenue leader who can:
- Open doors at senior level
- Win retained and exclusive mandates
- Build and grow strategic client accounts
- Set the commercial tone for the business
You will be responsible for originating high-value work
, shaping BD strategy, and expanding Talent Hive’s footprint across multiple sectors.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Owning the BD strategy and execution across the GCC
- Personally originating,
retained and exclusive mandates - Building and managing senior client relationships (C-suite, CHROs, Heads of Talent, Business Leaders)
- Driving multi-role, multi-country, and project hiring engagements
- Leading growth across Talent Hive’s core verticals (
Tech, Oil & Gas, Energy, FMCG, BFSI, Aviation and Advertising & Entertainment
) - Partnering with delivery leadership (handover only – no delivery ownership)
- Acting as a senior commercial face of the brand in the market
Non-Negotiable Requirements
You must have:
- A senior recruitment agency background with a strong BD/origination focus
- A proven history of winning retained and exclusive search mandates
- Deep UAE and/or Saudi Arabia market experience
- Experience selling at the executive and board-level
- A clear hunter mentality
, not a manager who “oversees BD”
🚫 This role is not suitable for:
- Internal / in-house recruiters
- Delivery-led or candidate-heavy consultants
- Managers without personal billing/origination history
- Candidates new to the GCC market
