We're recruiting a 'Business Manager - Artificial Lift' to join a well‑known oil & gas organization in Dubai, UAE.
About Our ClientOur client is a well‑established oil and gas company operating across the Middle East, with a strong presence in upstream and downstream operations. The company specializes in providing technical solutions, equipment, and services to national and international oil companies, supporting complex energy projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Own and manage the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow for the Artificial Lift product line
- Develop annual business plans, budgets, and performance forecasts aligned with strategic objectives
- Ensure profitability, margin optimization, and cost efficiency across operations
- Oversee CAPEX planning for Artificial Lift Centers (ALCs), service facilities, and inventory management
- Lead marketing, sales, and tendering activities for ESP and Artificial Lift solutions
- Direct tender bid preparation, including technical and commercial submissions and client negotiations
- Develop strategic partnerships and alliances with major operators and EPCs across Iraq and the wider region
- Maintain strong market intelligence on competitors, pricing trends, and customer requirements
- Build, structure, and lead a high‑performing operating team for ESP installation, service, and maintenance
- Oversee ALC operations, including workshop setup, service delivery, HSE compliance, and performance metrics
- Define and implement best practices in service delivery, reliability, and quality management
- Collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams to ensure timely project execution and quality assurance
- Establish and expand Artificial Lift operations into new geographies, including Iraq, Kurdistan, and North Africa
- Identify investment opportunities and emerging technologies to strengthen the company’s portfolio
- Develop and execute long‑term procurement and vendor strategies with key equipment manufacturers
- Support the CEO in defining the organizational structure and long‑term growth plan for the Artificial Lift division
- Build and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders
- Lead strategic account management for major clients, ensuring delivery excellence and contract compliance
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade forums
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 15 years of experience in senior or executive roles within ESP or Artificial Lift services
- Proven track record with leading oilfield service companies such as SLB, Halliburton, Weatherford, Borets, Novomet, or Al Khoraef
- Strong technical understanding of ESP technologies, artificial lift system design, and field operations
- Experience in establishing or managing Artificial Lift Service Centers and leading regional business expansions
- In‑depth knowledge of tendering processes, contracting, and business development within oilfield services
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Solid financial and analytical capability to manage P&L and key business KPIs
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
- Strategic mindset with a hands‑on management approach
- Fluency in English;
Arabic is an advantage - Willingness to travel frequently across Iraq and the wider region
