Assistant Maintenance Technician

We are looking for an Assistant Maintenance Technician to join our expanding Operations team in Dubai! The successful candidate will assist the QA Officer and Maintenance Executive in ensuring general maintenance of Chef Middle East DIP2 branch buildings, grounds, facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate should be proficient in electrical, civil, and mechanical work, should be energetic and have a high sense of ownership of their work.

• Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the warehouse and external premises, MEP, refrigeration, equipment, firefighting system and external premises.
• Install, inspect and conduct regular preventive maintenance of electrical, plumbing and other equipment and make necessary corrective maintenance or repairs.
• Inspect working efficiency of HVAC systems and advise repairs if necessary.
• Keep routine records and make reports.
• Does general repairs such as painting, patching walls, shelving and electrical installation.
• Other duties required by Chef Middle East Management.
• Comply with quality and HACCP requirements as defined by Chef Middle East Management system.

• Minimum of 2-years’ experience in warehouse maintenance.
• Experience in food storage facilities management, equipment and machineries (preferred).
• Pro-active with an eye for detail.
• Knowledgeable in maintenance supplies, equipment, materials and methods used for general maintenance.
• Knowledge of the occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance in using machinery and equipment, and to complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to recognize machinery and equipment malfunction.
• Must be comfortable using technology.
• Must be capable of safely performing the physical requirements of the role.
