Job Description
The Sr. Supply Chain Executive plays a crucial role in enhancing the organization's supply chain operations and ensuring efficiency across multiple levels. This high-level position demands a strategic thinker and a problem‑solver who can oversee the entire supply‑chain process from procurement to distribution. The executive will be responsible for planning and implementing supply‑chain strategies, optimizing sourcing activities, and coordinating between different departments to ensure a smooth flow of goods and materials.
You will also be expected to lead and mentor junior supply‑chain staff while collaborating closely with the management team to meet strategic objectives.
- Oversee and manage the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy.
- Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth.
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships to ensure sourcing reliability.
- Implement efficient supply‑chain processes to optimize material flow and distribution.
- Analyze data from shipping and receiving to optimize logistics operations.
- Ensure all supply‑chain activities align with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory levels to reduce excess and obsolescence, and maintain stock accuracy.
- Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of supply‑chain professionals and analysts.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure high quality and cost efficiency.
- Evaluate performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with IT and logistics teams to implement supply‑chain software upgrades.
- Monitor market trends and adapt strategies to address changing conditions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a supply‑chain management role.
- Proven track record of leading and managing a supply‑chain function.
- Strong knowledge of supply‑chain processes, logistics, and inventory management.
- Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency with supply‑chain software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
