Overview
As the regional hub for Dahua Technology in Middle East and North Africa (MENA), our Dubai office is seeking a Legal Counsel to deliver end-to-end legal support across the wider MENA region, which includes legal entities in the UAE, Qatar, Pakistan, KSA, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Iraq, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria. In this role, you will act as a vital link, collaborating with the Legal Affairs team at global headquarters in Hangzhou and regional in Dubai, and on-the-ground business teams throughout the MENA region.
Responsibilities- Draft and negotiate commercial contracts relating to the distribution of video surveillance products and solutions
- Support various projects in the region
- Corporate governance & research
- Compliance, including anti-bribery, Data privacy and security, competition law, labor laws, product compliance
- Provide general legal guidance to the Company’s sales and marketing functions
- Handle with business disputes, litigation and arbitration
- Organize legal and compliance training courses

Language:
Must be able to speak and write fluently in English. Knowledge of Mandarin or Arabic is a plus.
Education and Experience
- Juris master degree from a recognized law school
- Minimum five years' experience practicing corporate law with at least some of that time spent at a major law firm
- Experience providing legal support to an electronics or technology business, especially project supports
- Experience providing legal support to a business operating internationally
- Extensive knowledge of and past experience advising on compliance
- Previous experience drafting and negotiating commercial distribution and project agreements
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- International experience and a license to practice law are advantageous.
