Associate Legal Manager

We are seeking an experienced Associate Legal Manager to support the legal operations of a fast-paced retail business in the UAE. The role will work closely with internal stakeholders to manage contracts, ensure regulatory compliance, and mitigate legal risks across commercial and operational activities.

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial contracts
• Provide day-to-day legal advisory support to retail, procurement, finance, HR, and operations teams.
• Ensure compliance with UAE laws, regulations, and retail-specific statutory requirements.
• Support corporate governance matters, policies, and internal legal frameworks.
• Handle disputes, claims, and litigation matters in coordination with external legal counsel.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations impacting the retail sector and advise management accordingly.
• Assist in risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and contract compliance monitoring.
• Support store expansion projects, renewals, and closures from a legal perspective.
• Maintain proper legal documentation, contract repositories, and trackers.

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); LLM is an added advantage.
• 5–8 years of legal experience, preferably within retail, FMCG, or consumer-facing industries.
• Strong experience in commercial contracts and UAE laws.
• Hands-on experience dealing with external law firms and regulatory authorities.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a pragmatic business mindset.
