Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and ensure all contracts comply with UAE Civil Code, Commercial Transactions Law, RERA/DLD regulations, Escrow Law, and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks in commercial and real estate transactions.
- Maintain and supervise the legal archive, contract repository, and documentation systems.
- Handle RDC cases: drafting claims, preparing responses, and attending hearings.
- Coordinate with developers, landlords, tenants, and consultants on all legal matters.
- Handle all legal aspects related to Human Resources contracts, medical health insurance, group insurance, MOHRE disputes and claims, visas, life insurance, workers’ compensation, accident investigations, and all other claims, disputes, and settlements.
- Ensure compliance with all UAE laws and regulations, including DED, DMCC, DIFC, and AML requirements.
- Advise senior management on corporate structuring, investments, partnerships, risks related to development projects and financial agreements, land acquisition, feasibility, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare legal opinions, memos, and reports for management.
- Lead and supervise the responsibilities related to the legal department and support staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (Master’s in Law is highly desirable).
- Master’s in Finance or Business is an added advantage.
- 8+ years of experience in Real Estate Law, Legal Advisory, or a similar legal position in the real estate industry.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant real estate law experience in the UAE.
- Proven work experience as both an individual contributor and a team leader in roles such as Real Estate Lawyer or Legal Advisor.
- Strong knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to the real estate industry.
- In-depth understanding of state and local laws governing real estate in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
- Familiarity with real estate concepts such as property management, sales transactions, and leasing.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Effective time management and organizational abilities.
- Excellent past experience and exposure to relevant ERP and CRM systems.
- Strong command of the Arabic language is required to handle legal drafting, communication, and case filings.
