Marine Underwriter

Looking for an experienced professional with expertise in marine insurance, especially marine cargo. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting marine business, building broker relationships, and contributing to the company’s profitability and growth targets.

• Underwrite marine cargo insurance business from brokers and corporate accounts.
• Build and maintain strong broker and client relationships to grow the portfolio.
• Travel within the region to represent our organization and strengthen broker connections.
• Collaborate with other business lines to explore cross-sell opportunities.
• Meet underwriting year product line objectives for the Marine department.
• Contribute to strategy, forecasts, and portfolio management for profitability.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with brokers and clients.
• Attend client/broker presentations and follow up on quotes to secure new business.

• In-depth knowledge and experience in marine insurance (cargo underwriting is essential).
• Project cargo underwriting expertise is a strong plus.
• Proven track record in managing broker and client relationships.
• Strong planning, initiative, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver results.
• Fluent in English & Arabic (written and spoken).
• Proficient in working with MS Excel through practical, real‑world experience.
