Job Description
Consen Sys is the leading blockchain and web3 software company founded by Joe Lubin, CEO of Consen Sys and Co-Founder of Ethereum. Since 2014, Consen Sys has been at the forefront of innovation, pioneering technological developments within the web3 ecosystem. Through our product suite, including the Meta Mask platform, Infura, Linea, Diligence, and our NFT toolkit Phosphor, we have become the trusted collaborator for users, creators, and developers on their path to build and belong in the world they want to see.
Whether building a dapp, an NFT collection, a portfolio, or a better future, the instinct to build is universal. Consen Sys inspires and champions the builder instinct in everyone by making web3 universally easy to use and develop on. Our mission is to unlock the collaborative power of communities by making the decentralized web universally easy to access, use, and build on.
You’ll get to work on the tools, infrastructure, and apps that scale these platforms to onboard one billion participants and 5 million developers. You’ll be constantly exposed to new concepts, ideas, and frameworks from your peers, and as you work on different projects — challenging you to stay at the top of your game. You’ll join a network of builders that reaches the edge of our ecosystem.
Consen Sys alumni have moved on to become tech entrepreneurs, CEOs, and team leads at tech companies.
Meta Mask is the leading self‑custodial web3 wallet, empowering millions of people worldwide to interact with decentralized applications, trade assets, and participate in the evolving crypto ecosystem. We’re building products that make complex, high‑stakes financial and on‑chain interactions intuitive, safe, and accessible. We’re looking for a Staff UX Researcher to drive strategic, mixed‑methods research for the company, spanning product initiatives such as perpetuals trading, predictions, RWAs, sports betting, saving, remittances and crypto spending.
WhatYou’ll Do Lead end‑to‑end mixed‑methods research
- Plan, design, and execute full‑cycle research (discovery, evaluative, generative, and strategic) using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Select and tailor the right methods (e.g., interviews, diary studies, usability tests, surveys, concept testing) to answer high‑priority questions for the product and design team.
- Deliver robust, timely insights that are tightly aligned with product milestones and decision points.
- Communicate insights in compelling, digestible ways (presentations, workshops, artifacts, dashboards, narratives) tailored to different audiences, from Independent Contributors to Executives.
- Establish and evolve research best practices, processes, and templates that scale.
- Partner with Product, Design, Marketing, Data, and Engineering leads at Meta Mask to define research questions, success criteria, and learning roadmaps.
- Translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations that directly influence roadmaps, feature definitions, and UX decisions.
- Identify and articulate trade‑offs, risks, and opportunities grounded in user behavior and market context.
- Champion user‑centered thinking in planning and prioritization forums, ensuring user impact is considered alongside technical and business constraints.
- Work across product lanes, and with other UX Researchers, to uncover shared user needs, overlapping journeys, friction points, and systemic UX issues.
- Help maintain a Continuous Discovery program that builds a durable, always‑on understanding of Meta Mask (and future) users.
- Contribute to a program of Designer Enablement; training designers, PMs and marketers to self‑serve their own evaluative research. This involves coaching stakeholders and creating lightweight frameworks, guidelines, and tools.
- Mentor and support other researchers and cross‑functional partners in sharpening research questions, methods, and interpretation.
- 7+ years of hands‑on UX research experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or staff‑level role driving strategy…
