Position OverviewWe are looking for a senior analytics professional who will take ownership of the analytical products and data models used across the organization.
This role combines technical expertise in Power BI and data modeling with a strong product mindset. The person in this role will help define what analytical capabilities the business needs, prioritize development work, and guide the evolution of the analytics platform.
The position is suited for someone who started as a developer and grew into a broader role, combining hands‑on technical expertise with the ability to organize work, manage analytical initiatives, and ensure that the right problems are being solved.
While the role remains technically hands‑on, its primary responsibility is to ensure that analytics development is aligned with business needs and delivered efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesAnalytics Product Ownership
- Act as the product owner for analytics and BI solutions
- Work with business stakeholders to understand analytical needs and priorities
- Maintain and manage the analytics backlog
- Define and prioritize analytical initiatives and development tasks
- Plan and coordinate sprint work and delivery cycles
Semantic Modeling & Analytical Architecture
- Design and guide development of semantic models in Power BI / Microsoft Fabric
- Define standards for data modeling, calculation patterns, and performance optimization
- Ensure models are structured for scalability and self‑service analytics
- Review and optimize DAX calculations and analytical logic
- Support development of complex analytical metrics and KPIs
Data Engineering Collaboration
- Work with engineering teams to ensure data pipelines support analytical workloads
- Help define data structures required for analytics
- Guide development of datasets and transformations
- Support integration between data platform and BI models
User Experience & Analytical Adoption
- Ensure analytical products are clear, intuitive, and usable
- Define best practices for visualization and report structure
- Help business users understand how to use models and analytics correctly
- Drive adoption of analytics and self‑service reporting
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Power BI development
- Advanced knowledge of DAX and semantic data modeling
- Experience designing enterprise‑grade analytical models
- Strong understanding of Power Query (M)
- Experience optimizing Power BI performance and query efficiency
Solid SQL knowledge - Experience working with modern data platforms (Azure, Synapse, Fabric or similar)
- Experience managing analytics backlogs and development priorities
- Understanding of Agile or sprint‑based development
- Strong ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions
- Experience coordinating work between business users and technical teams
- Strong documentation and communication skills
