VP of Engineering | AI Transformation & Core Systems

The Mission We are searching for a builder first VP of Engineering. Someone who started in the trenches, shipped real systems, and earned their way into leadership by out engineering the problem.
This is not a role for a caretaker.
This is a role for a transformer.
You will be trusted to challenge legacy thinking, dismantle bottlenecks, and re architect systems where AI is not a feature but the operating system. If you have ever looked at human heavy processes and thought “this should not need a human”, you will feel at home here.
What Makes This Role Different- Architectural Authority You have the mandate to challenge and replace legacy systems. If it slows the business down, you can redesign it.
- AI Ownership You will define how AI reshapes engineering, operations, and decision making across the organisation.
- Elite Global Teams You will lead a small, exceptional group of senior engineers and architects where outcomes matter more than hierarchy.
- AI Native Migration Transition systems from traditional CI CD and rule based logic into AI native operations with self healing infrastructure and automated code generation.
- Real Time Non Deterministic Systems Build and oversee AI systems operating in real time, handling complex, high stakes decisions where latency matters.
- The Fast AI Problem Integrate heavyweight models without sacrificing performance. AI must enhance speed, not compromise it.
- End to End Technical Ownership From low level backend performance and memory efficiency through to high performance, fluid user interfaces.
- Radical Process Re Engineering Identify human bottlenecks and replace them with AI driven optimisation wherever possible.
- Technical Leadership at the Highest Level Set direction, mentor elite engineers, and provide clarity in highly complex problem spaces.
Core Engineering
- Deep hands on experience with C++, Rust, Go, or Python in high performance environments.
AI and ML
- Practical experience with LLM fine tuning, RAG pipelines, vector databases such as Milvus or Pinecone, and production grade MLOps.
Systems and Infrastructure
- Strong background in distributed systems, Kubernetes, and low latency data streaming.
- Comfortable operating close to the metal when needed.
Leadership Profile
- Builder first, executive second
- Comfortable making hard technical calls
- Intolerant of “good enough”
- Proven at scaling systems, not just teams
