Senior Application Security Engineer; m/f/d
A technology-driven organization specializing in building secure, scalable digital solutions. The company is currently seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to strengthen its security posture and help drive secure development practices across engineering teams.
Responsibilities- Perform application security assessments for web applications, APIs, and microservices, identifying critical vulnerabilities.
- Conduct secure code reviews and provide clear remediation guidance to development teams.
- Develop automation tools to enhance vulnerability management, reporting, and analysis workflows.
- Integrate security controls into CI/CD and Dev Sec Ops pipelines to improve secure development processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve secure coding practices and demonstrate risks through proof‑of‑concept exploits when necessary.
- Analyze outputs from security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) and contribute to internal security tooling initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience in Application Security, Security Engineering, or Penetration Testing.
- Strong programming capabilities in at least one language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Go).
- Solid understanding of OWASP Top 10, modern web attacks, and secure architecture principles.
- Hands‑on experience with security tools such as SAST/DAST platforms, Burp Suite, or similar.
- Familiarity with container technologies and modern development workflows (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Ability to automate security tasks and build internal tools; offensive security certification (OSCP) is required.
