GRC Specialist (Bahrain)

VAM Systems is currently looking for a GRC Specialist for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions:
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Information systems or any other related field
- Strong interest in governance, risk, and compliance management
- Familiarity with regulatory and industry standards such as ISO/IEC 27001
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and expand knowledge in the field of GRC
GRC Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure the company's compliance with regulatory and industry requirements.
Responsibilities- Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of governance, risk, and compliance policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and best practices
- Participate in risk assessments and assist with the development of risk management plans to mitigate identified risks
- Able to handle information security awareness sessions
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry requirements
- Assist with the development and maintenance of a comprehensive compliance framework to guide the organization's compliance strategy and activities
- Provide support to business units regarding compliance issues, such as data protection, privacy, and security
- Participate in compliance training for employees to promote a culture of compliance and risk management
- Monitor and analyse compliance metrics to identify potential risks and make recommendations for improvement
- Stay up-to-date with emerging regulatory and compliance requirements and make recommendations for improvements to the compliance program
- Participate in incident response activities, including investigation and resolution of compliance incidents
