Role OverviewGEMS School of Research and Innovation (SRI) seeks a professional, dynamic and highly organized General Secretary to support the administrative functions of the Vice Principals and HR Office at the GEMS School of Research and Innovation (SRI). This role is central to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the school’s academic and administrative offices.
We seek to appoint a professional, dynamic, Assistant ICT Engineer to provide technical assistance, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring smooth technology operations across the school. This role supports staff and students by troubleshooting issues, managing IT assets, and contributing to projects that enhance digital learning and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Technical Support- Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Respond promptly to helpdesk tickets and service requests.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, smartboards, and other IT equipment.
- Assist users with educational software and online learning platforms.
- Support technology needs during events.
- Ensure availability and performance of IT systems.
- Perform regular backups and implement disaster recovery procedures.
- Monitor system logs for troubleshooting and security events.
- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations and procedures.
- Implement security policies and protocols to protect sensitive data.
- Conduct regular security checks and audits.
- Stay updated on cybersecurity trends and apply best practices.
- Comply with the School Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy.
- Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.
- Ensure licensing compliance and proper documentation.
- Conduct periodic audits to optimize asset utilization.
- Work with academic and administrative teams to integrate technology.
- Participate in IT projects from planning to implementation.
- Explore emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
