On behalf of a high‑performing quantitative trading firm based in Dubai, I am looking for an exceptional Data Scientist to join their team. The firm specialises in systematic trading across digital asset markets, using advanced research and technology to generate consistent performance. They are growing steadily and investing heavily in data, infrastructure, and talent.
The RoleAs a Data Scientist, you will transform large and complex datasets into practical insights that directly improve trading outcomes. You will work closely with quantitative researchers and traders to analyse performance, test ideas, and improve systems. Your work will support both live trading decisions and long‑term strategic development. This role is highly analytical and hands‑on, with real impact from day one.
Key Responsibilities- Analyse large structured and unstructured datasets related to trading activity.
- Identify patterns, inefficiencies, and performance drivers.
- Provide clear and timely insights to support trading and strategy decisions.
- Design and run controlled experiments (A/B testing) to evaluate strategies and processes.
- Develop and improve dashboards and performance reporting tools.
- Work with time‑series data to evaluate market behaviour and trading models.
- Translate complex statistical results into practical recommendations.
- Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Computer Science, or a similar quantitative field.
- Strong knowledge of probability, statistics, and experimental design.
- Advanced SQL skills for analysing large datasets.
- Proficiency in C++.
- Strong Python skills for data analysis and visualisation.
- Experience working with time‑series data.
- Understanding of core software development principles.
- Strong problem‑solving ability and high attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment.
- Background in competitive mathematics.
- Experience with BI or data visualisation tools.
- Experience analysing financial or trading data.
- Understanding of quantitative trading concepts or market structure.
