We are seeking a Head of Data Strategy & Architecture to define, implement, and govern the enterprise data vision for a leading physical oil trading organization. This role will oversee a secure, scalable, high-quality data ecosystem supporting front, middle, and back-office functions, including trading, risk, operations, finance, compliance, and HR. The ideal candidate combines deep physical oil market knowledge, ERP & ETRM experience, and expertise in cloud‑native data platforms, governance, and workflows.

- Data Strategy & Governance: Develop and implement enterprise data strategy, governance frameworks, data quality standards, metadata management, and compliance. Ensure clear ownership, lineage, and documentation.
- Data Architecture & Platform: Lead design, implementation, and evolution of the central data platform; define ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics blueprints; maintain scalable, reliable, high-performance infrastructure.
- Cloud & Engineering Leadership: Drive cloud strategy, select and optimize technologies, ensure secure, compliant, cost-efficient operations, and oversee data engineering best practices.
- On-Desk Enablement & Coding Frameworks: Establish frameworks for Python, SQL, and analytics tooling; enable teams through POCs, sandbox environments, reusable libraries, and training.
- Cross-Functional Support: Provide high-quality data across trading lifecycle—from front office (pricing, forecasting) to middle office (risk, P&L reporting) and back office (operations, finance, accounting); support HR and compliance in data access and auditability.
- ETRM & ERP Integration: Own data flows into/out of ERP & ETRM systems (e.g., Endur, Eka, Allegro, Aspect, Right Angle); standardize trade, logistics, pricing, and risk models; ensure accurate mapping and reconciliation.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Lead a network of data representatives across departments; bridge business and technology needs; communicate strategy, KPIs, risks, and progress to executive leadership.
- 10+ years in data architecture, engineering, or strategy roles.
- Strong knowledge of physical oil trading, supply chains, market data, pricing, and operations.
- Hands‑on experience with major ETRM systems and ERP integration.
- Practical coding experience (Python, SQL, Git) and workflow orchestration.
- Experience building and scaling cloud‑native data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Expertise in streaming, APIs, data modeling, and integration frameworks.
- Proven leadership in defining enterprise data strategy and managing diverse technical teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management across trading, risk, finance, IT, and senior leadership.
