Senior Service Reliability Engineer

Job Knowledge

• Understanding of Service Reliability best practices
• Have understanding and experience in Reliability Engineering covering cloud, server, storage, networks, virtualized environments, applications, databases and associated tool sets
• Must be good at forecasting, statistical analysis and modeling.
• Dev Ops Experience

• Good understanding of banking IT Infrastructure
• Knowledge of industry accepted standards and best practices related to Reliability Engineering Principles
• Have clear understanding in dynamic resource management frameworks, cloud, server, distributed storage, networks, virtualized environments, applications, databases and associated tool sets.
• An understanding and practical experience with containerization frameworks
• Knowledge on Micro Services Fundamentals & Patterns
• Understanding of monitoring/telemetry solutions for Micro Services and Custom Alerting

• 6 years experience as lead technical role in large enterprise wide projects
• 4+ years in operations or software engineering or Reliability Engineering role.

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field is highly preferred; however, equivalent work (6+ years) experience in Reliability Engineering will not be overlooked.
• Ability to work on a team as well as complete projects and tasks individually
• Hands‑on, self‑starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Analytical, collaborative, and written communication skills will be required
• Passion for problem solving and strategic thinking and a desire to own and execute
• Excellent experience working with banking services and distributed systems
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to both technical peers and business customers
• Ability to demonstrate strategic, data‑driven thinking combined with efficient implementation
• Passion for technology as well as helping customers and team members
• A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks

• Effective communication, Team‑oriented interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles, including vendors, Senior IT leadership and business personnel
• Previous success in technical engineering
• Coding experience beyond simple scripts
• Ability to program (structured and OO) with one or more high level languages
