SAP Lead FI Commodity Consultant

We are supporting a global consultancy on a large-scale SAP S/4

HANA Greenfield implementation running on S/4

HANA Private Cloud
. The programme is a long-term transformation initiative with an initial duration of 12 months
, expected to extend to approximately 18 months in total.

The SAP Finance team will consist of 5–10 consultants
, and this role will act as the Lead FI Commodity Consultant
, owning the Finance–Commodity workstream and working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.

• Lead the SAP FI Commodity workstream on an S/4
  
  HANA Greenfield implementation

• Drive solution design and architecture for Finance processes related to commodity trading and valuation

• Run and facilitate Fit-to-Standard workshops with senior stakeholders

• Translate business commodity trading requirements into SAP Finance solutions

• Ensure correct integration between:

  • SAP FI/CO

  • Commodity Management / Trading processes

  • Logistics, Procurement, and Sales

• Oversee and support:

  • Configuration

  • Functional specifications

  • Testing (SIT/UAT)

  • Cutover and go-live activities

• Act as a trusted advisor to the client and mentor junior consultants within the team

• Ensure alignment between trading P&L and financial reporting

• 6+ years of SAP experience
  , with strong expertise in SAP FI

• Proven experience as a Lead FI Commodity Consultant

• Strong understanding of:

  • Commodity trading lifecycle

  • Valuation, settlements, and financial postings

  • Integration between Finance and Commodity processes

• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA

• Experience delivering S/4
  
  HANA Greenfield implementations

• Exposure to S/4
  
  HANA Private Cloud environments

• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills

• Experience working on complex, multi-stream SAP programmes
