Overview
Job Title – Business Analyst - Mobile Banking
Location – Dubai
Experience10–12+ years overall experience, with 3+ years in mobile banking or digital channels
Role OverviewThe Business Analyst – Mobile is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into functional specifications for the bank’s mobile applications. The role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, UX, and technology teams to deliver secure, compliant, and customer-centric mobile banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Requirements & Analysis
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for mobile banking applications
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, BRDs, FRDs, and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with product owners to define and prioritize the mobile product backlog
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with business, operations, compliance, risk, and IT teams
- Facilitate workshops, requirement discussions, and solution walkthroughs
- Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams
- Mobile & Digital Banking Support
- Support delivery of native and hybrid mobile applications (iOS & Android)
- Ensure alignment with digital banking strategy and customer experience goals
- Validate end-to-end mobile journeys including onboarding, payments, transfers, and self-service features
- Testing & Delivery Support
- Support SIT/UAT by clarifying requirements and validating delivered functionality
- Assist in test case review and defect triage
- Ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations and regulatory standards
- Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, data privacy, and security standards
- Support audits, regulatory reviews, and documentation requirements
- Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the SDLC
- Functional & Domain Skills
- Strong experience in mobile banking or digital banking solutions
- Understanding of retail banking products, payments, and customer journeys
- Knowledge of regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements in banking
- Technical & Analytical Skills
- Experience working with mobile app development teams (iOS, Android)
- Understanding of APIs, backend integrations, and system dependencies
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence)
- Strong documentation and analytical skills
- Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
- Ability to work in fast-paced, Agile delivery environments
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field
- Agile/Scrum certification (CSPO, CSM, or equivalent)
- Experience with UX/UI collaboration and customer journey mapping
