Location: Dubai, UAE
Job PurposeWe are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to redesign, refactor, and modernize our SQL‑based data environment while building robust, automated data pipelines and warehouse solutions on the Microsoft Cloud ecosystem
. This role is central to delivering high‑quality, validated data that powers analytics, reporting, and strategic business decisions.
- Redesign, refactor, and optimize existing SQL code, data models, and data structures.
- Build, maintain, and enhance ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Data Lake
, and Microsoft Fabric (must‑have). - Develop and support a modern, scalable data warehouse/lakehouse architecture
. - Implement automated data validation, quality checks, and workflow orchestration.
- Collaborate closely with Data Analysts and BI teams to deliver clean, reliable datasets and semantic models.
- Ensure performance, reliability, security, and governance across all data solutions.
- Contribute to best practices, documentation, and continuous improvement of the data platform.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure Data Services (ADF, Synapse, Data Lake, Azure SQL, etc.).
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric is mandatory.
- Advanced SQL development and optimization skills.
- Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration workflows.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, lakehouse concepts, and dimensional modeling.
- Familiarity with data governance, quality frameworks, and CI/CD for data solutions.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, cloud‑driven environment.
