Over the past 20 years, Amazon has reinvented on behalf of customers and has become the largest internet retailer and marketplace in the world. The Network Operations Center (NOC) is the central command and control center for ‘Transportation Execution’ across Amazon's transportation network. It ensures hassle‑free, timely pick‑up and delivery of freight from vendors to Amazon fulfillment centers (FC) and from Amazon FCs to carrier hubs.
In case of any exceptions, NOC steps in to resolve the issue and keeps all stakeholders informed on the proceedings. In addition to tactical problem solving, NOC analyzes network data to identify trends and propose or automate process improvements, thereby directly impacting Amazon’s ability to serve customers on time.
Within NOC’s umbrella is a specific arm that manages inbound scheduling, MFI (Missing From inbound), 3P pickups, vendor returns and invoice scanning operations across India (IN), AMET (South Africa, UAE, KSA, EGY and Turkey), Australia (AU), Japan (JP), Singapore (SG), Brazil (BR) and Mexico (MX).
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate the flow of information between vendors/sellers, carriers, fulfillment centers, and other stakeholders to resolve any potential issues impacting vendor/seller experience and business continuity.
- Plan and schedule freight for delivery to warehouses as per given appointment time and manage inbound operations.
- Address any potential issues occurring during the lifecycle of forecasting to actual delivery of appointments.
- Research and query internal tools, making real‑time decisions to provide timely resolution to issues.
- Analyze data to identify trends and devise process improvements, driving them to conclusion.
- Graduation in any specialization from a recognized university.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Basic understanding of logistics and ability to communicate clearly.
- Ability to analyze data, notice trends, and drive customer experience without compromising on time.
- A proactive mindset and zeal to ideate and implement process improvements.
