SOC Incident Response Lead

The Incident Response Lead will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of cybersecurity incident handling within the Security Operations Center (SOC). This role involves leading investigations, ensuring timely containment and remediation, and driving continuous improvement of incident response processes. The IR Lead will act as the primary point of escalation for critical incidents and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to minimize impact and strengthen organizational resilience.

• Lead and coordinate the response to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring timely containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Perform in-depth analysis of security events and incidents to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures.
• Develop and maintain incident response playbooks, workflows, and escalation procedures.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for major incidents and provide clear communication to stakeholders.
• Conduct post-incident reviews and produce detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and SOC teams to enhance detection and response capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal security policies during incident handling.
• Mentor and guide SOC analysts on incident response best practices and advanced techniques.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology / Cyber Security or related field.
• 5 to 7 years’ experience in IT Security / Cyber Security Incident management.
• Act as the primary point of contact and lead during active security incidents.
• Ensure timely and accurate incident documentation, reporting, and escalation to stakeholders.
• Maintain incident response tools, runbooks, forensics capabilities, and response metrics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship building skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical ability.
