The Manager BAU oversees end-to-end global payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery for all clients. This role drives operational excellence, automation, workforce development, and customer success while supporting the Director BAU in optimizing payroll outsourcing and SaaS BAU services through digital transformation and data-driven decision-making.
Operational Management & Digital Transformation- Lead global payroll operations teams to ensure efficient payroll and SaaS service delivery
- Drive automation initiatives using AI, RPA, and digital workflows to enhance accuracy, security, and compliance
- Partner with Product and IT teams to optimize payroll platforms and SaaS capabilities
- Ensure consistent SLA adherence and high-quality service across all clients
- Lead, mentor, and develop Team Leaders and payroll specialists
- Implement succession planning and targeted training programs
- Promote employee engagement, well-being, and career development
- Drive workforce stability and performance improvement
- Use analytics and BI dashboards to monitor payroll KPIs, compliance, and service quality
- Produce regular operational reports with actionable insights
- Identify risks proactively and ensure strong governance and control frameworks
- Oversee payroll tax compliance, statutory reporting, and wage regulations
- Lead compliance audits and ensure timely remediation
- Establish escalation and governance models for issue resolution and SLA tracking
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and processing time
- Standardize payroll processes across regions to ensure consistency and scalability
- Develop global payroll best practices, SOPs, and governance frameworks
- Foster a continuous improvement culture using lean methodologies
- Build strong client and channel partner relationships to drive retention and satisfaction
- Support governance meetings, escalations, and service reviews
- Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, and Marketing on client onboarding, renewals, and expansion
- Support pre‑sales activities including RFPs, presentations, and solution positioning
- Ensure complete, audit‑ready documentation for payroll operations
- Enforce scope compliance aligned with contractual agreements
- Conduct periodic process reviews and risk assessments
- Define and track payroll SLAs and operational KPIs
- Provide regular insights and recommendations to senior leadership
- Drive measurable improvements in processing time, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities
- High attention to detail and commitment to data confidentiality
- Proficiency in payroll systems, SaaS platforms, ERP/HCM tools, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
- Deep understanding of global payroll compliance and risk management
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field (Masters preferred)
- 57+ years of experience in global payroll outsourcing operations
- Proven experience managing multi‑regional payroll teams and compliance
- Strong background in payroll technology, automation, and systems integration
- Prior leadership experience driving process optimization and service excellence
