Data Analyst - Power BI​/Tableau

Description

This is a remote role & responsibilities:

• Analyze large, complex datasets to derive actionable business insights
• Work closely with stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Finance, Operations) to understand business requirements
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (Power BI / Tableau / Looker)
• Write advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
• Define, track, and monitor KPIs and performance metrics
• Support decision-making through data storytelling and clear presentations
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses and deep dives for leadership and business teams
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across reports
• Automate recurring reports and analytical workflows using Python
• Collaborate with data engineers and tech teams to improve data pipelines
• Document methodologies, dashboards, and data definitions
• Mentor or guide junior analysts

• 4 to 5 years of hands‑on experience as a Data Analyst / Business Analyst / BI Analyst
• Experience working in remote or cross‑functional teams preferred

• Strong proficiency in SQL (advanced level)
• Working knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation
• Expertise in at least one BI / visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
• Strong command of Excel / Google Sheets
• Experience with relational databases and data warehouses

• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical thinking
• Ability to translate business problems into data‑driven insights
• Strong understanding of KPIs, metrics, and business performance drivers
• Experience with statistical analysis and experimentation (A/B testing basics)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to explain complex data insights to non‑technical stakeholders
• High ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
• Self‑motivated and capable of working independently in a remote setup

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or related field
• Masters degree or relevant analytics certifications preferred

• Experience in product, SaaS, e‑commerce, fintech, or consulting
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, or modern analytics tools

• Salary: 12 to 20 Lacs P.A
