Role Overview
The Senior Business Analyst is accountable for translating commercial and regulatory objectives into clear, user‑centric, and compliant business requirements. The role acts as a strategic interface between Commercial P&L owners, Compliance, Operations, Customer Support, UI/UX, and Technology teams to deliver intuitive customer journeys, scalable fintech solutions, and robust end‑to‑end processes.
This position owns end‑to‑end business process definition, UI/UX‑aware requirement documentation, and BPMN‑driven process modeling across digital channels, integrations, and operational workflows, while embedding regulatory considerations across all initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Translate business and P&L objectives into clear, testable functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Elicit and document requirements using user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria with clear UX expectations and edge‑case coverage.
- Partner closely with UI/UX teams to ensure consistency, accessibility, usability, and error handling across customer journeys.
- Design and maintain end‑to‑end BPMN 2.0 process flows covering happy paths, exceptions, reversals, and lifecycle scenarios.
- Maintain and contribute to the Central Business Process Repository for standardization and reuse.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects to ensure feasibility within existing platforms, APIs, integrations, and non‑functional constraints (performance, scalability, security).
- Define requirements for mobile and web channels, operational workflows, reporting, reconciliation, audit, and third‑party integrations.
- Interpret partner, processor, and scheme documentation and convert into business‑ready process flows.
- Embed regulatory requirements such as AML/CFT, Consumer Protection, Fraud, Dispute Management, and Data Localization into business and UX flows.
- Define data and reporting requirements supporting commercial dashboards and operational monitoring.
- Engage daily with internal stakeholders and weekly with external IT providers to ensure delivery alignment.
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst in Fintech, Payments, Wallets, or Neobanking environments.
- Strong exposure to regulated fintech platforms; UAE / CBUAE experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
- Certifications (advantage): CBAP, CSPO, ISO 27001, PCI‑DSS exposure.
- Advanced requirement elicitation and stakeholder management.
- Strong user‑story writing with clear UX intent, functional behaviour, and acceptance criteria.
- Deep understanding of payments ecosystems, including ledger and transaction life cycles.
- Card issuing (physical & virtual) and card processing within the four‑party model.
- Experience with customer lifecycle management (onboarding, KYC, limits, support).
- Solid understanding of APIs, microservices, integrations, and non‑functional requirements.
- Agile delivery experience with Product, Design, Engineering, and QA teams.
- Proficient in Jira, Confluence, and BPMN 2.0 tools (Lucidchart, Visio, Miro, Plant
UML, Mermaid). - Working knowledge of PCI‑DSS, security, and data protection principles.
