Role Overview
As a generalist Business Analyst for trading systems, you will turn FX/CFD trading and dealing needs into precise, testable requirements and operating workflows. You’ll partner daily with Product managers, Engineering, Support and Legal teams to take initiatives from discovery through delivery.
Core Responsibilities- Run discovery with stakeholders; write business and functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process maps for trading platform and liquidity solutions: liquidity and order routing, order life cycles, monitoring dashboards, settings UIs.
- Maintain a requirements backlog and traceability from epics / stories / test cases, support UAT and sign‑off.
- Design KPIs and metrics for various features: trading fraud detection, execution quality, compliance, etc. Design specific throughput metrics based on system architecture.
- Design optimal structure of system settings, considering hierarchies, profiling, scheduling, automation.
- Clarify edge cases; perform gap analysis between current and target capabilities; validate frontend deliverables against requirements.
- Create UI/UX requirements using wireframes and interaction flows.
- Participate in End-to-End testing and train Support team.
- 3+ years general experience with Trading Technologies: cTrader, Prime
XM, oneZero, MT4/MT5 platforms, FIX 4.4/5.0 protocol. - 3+ years as a Business Analyst in software (fintech/trading), with a track record of crisp specs and successful delivery.
- FX/CFD Trading: pricing models (TOB, Market depth, etc.), order lifecycle, leverage mechanics, liquidity bridge features, mark‑out report, fraud and toxic flow detection, client flow segmentation.
- Trading reporting: internal, dealing, backoffice, regulatory reports, auditability, reconciliation principles and methods.
- Experience in using AI tools to accelerate analysis and documentation.
- Good skills in MS Excel (Pivot tables, Power Pivot).
- Regulatory Awareness: ESMA, CySEC, FCA rules, GDPR regulation.
- Soft Skills:
Clear communicator, ability to structure and document your findings, project management discipline.
- BSc/MSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial, Finance, Physics, Business Management, and/or Computer Science.
- Great analytical skills, logical analysis, and conceptual thinking.
- Exposure to statistical techniques used in surveillance (hypothesis testing, anomaly detection, basic Bayesian reasoning).
