Azure Cloud Engineer

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to manage, design, and optimize our Azure Cloud environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in cloud architecture, solution implementation, migration, security, and cost optimization while working closely with cross‑functional teams.

• Design scalable, resilient, and secure Azure cloud solutions.
• Define and document end‑to‑end technical architecture (infrastructure, application, and data layers).
• Evaluate and recommend Azure services aligned with business requirements.

• Lead and oversee Azure solution implementation, including infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration with Azure services.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure performance and availability.

• Assess existing workloads for Azure migration feasibility.
• Develop and execute cloud migration strategies.
• Oversee data migration, application rehosting, re‑platforming, or refactoring.

• Implement Azure security best practices and ensure compliance with standards such as CIS and NIST.
• Configure and manage Azure Security Center, Azure Firewall, Azure Key Vault, and related tools.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.

• Analyze Azure consumption and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Optimize resource utilization to ensure cost‑effective cloud operations.

• Work closely with development, operations, and security teams.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and cloud governance initiatives.

• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in cloud and IT infrastructure roles.

• Microsoft Certified:
  Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified:
  Azure Administrator Associate
• ITIL Foundation
• TOGAF
• CISSP
• COBIT 5
• Vendor certifications such as Cisco CCIE, VMware VCAP (preferred)

• Strong expertise in Azure compute, storage, networking, security, and identity services.
• Experience with Azure architecture frameworks and design patterns.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Terraform).
• Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud migration strategies.
• Excellent problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
