Position: Sr. Manager- IT Supplier & Contract Governance

Responsible for managing the full lifecycle of IT contracts, vendor performance, software licensing, and cloud cost optimization. The role ensures that all IT contractual engagements deliver maximum value, remain compliant with internal controls, and support IS&T strategic objectives. The position oversees contract negotiation, vendor governance, Fin Ops practices, budget optimization, and risk management to ensure effective delivery of IT services.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of IT contracts, from initiation and drafting to renewal or termination.
  • Lead commercial negotiations ensuring optimal pricing, service levels, and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain compliance of all contracts with procurement, legal, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely renewal of all IT contracts to avoid operational disruptions.
  • Maintain a central repository of all vendor contracts, addendums, SLAs, and commercial terms.
  • Develop and manage the vendor governance framework including performance scorecards and periodic reviews.
  • Monitor vendor adherence to KPIs, SLAs, and service delivery expectations.
  • Resolve vendor disputes, escalations, and delivery failures in a structured manner.
  • Drive value creation initiatives with key strategic vendors.
  • Oversee procurement, allocation, renewal, and optimization of all software licenses.
  • Implement Fin Ops practices to continuously optimize cloud consumption.
  • Monitor cloud spending and forecast cost trends with Finance and Technology teams.
  • Ensure compliance with license and cloud audit requirements.
  • Manage the IT contract and vendor-related annual budget.
  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities and negotiate improved commercial terms.
  • Provide financial insights to IS&T leadership on vendor spend, forecast, and optimization potential.
  • Ensure spend transparency through dashboards and reporting.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with IT vendors, contracts, and service delivery.
  • Ensure vendors meet corporate, financial, operational, and regulatory compliance obligations.
  • Maintain vendor risk assessments and track mitigation actions.
  • Support internal and external audits with complete documentation and evidence.
  • Ensure document and record controls are enforced as per organizational policy.
  • Publish approved documents to the correct audience and archive obsolete ones.
  • Develop and maintain standard templates for IT contracts, RFPs, SLAs, and SOWs.
  • Ensure consistency and quality of documentation across the contract management function.
  • Liaise with Legal, Procurement, Finance, Audit, Risk, and IT teams to ensure contract clarity and alignment.
  • Provide periodic updates to senior leadership on vendor performance, risks, and financials.
  • Facilitate communication between departments to ensure smooth vendor operations.
  • Actively engage with internal/external auditors during contract, sourcing, or vendor management audits.
  • Analyze audit findings and ensure timely closure of observations.
  • Maintain evidence repositories for audit readiness.
  • Lead resolution of contract‑related operational issues and escalations.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional meetings to address vendor delivery concerns.
  • Support improvements in vendor interaction and service quality across teams.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance IT contract governance processes.
  • Implement automation initiatives to streamline vendor and contract workflows.
  • Benchmark vendor performance and commercial terms against market standards.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s in IT/Computer Science/Business. Master’s preferred.
  • Certifications:

    ITIL, COBIT 5, CISA, Contract Management Certifications, Software Engineering Diploma.
Experience and skills
  • Experience:

    10+ years in IT Contract/Vendor Management; experience with cloud, licensing, negotiations.
