Senior Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will own and evolve the backend data platform that powers analytics and reporting across the business. You'll design and operate ETL/ELT pipelines, engineer SQL Server environments, orchestrate workflows, model data for analytics, and enforce governance and CI/CD standards. This is a hands-on engineering role with high ownership, technical depth, and direct business impact.

Own the data engineering backlog and deliver scalable data solutions.

Build and maintain Airflow DAGs for ingestion, transformation, and data quality.

Develop production-grade T‑SQL with strong performance tuning.

Data Modeling & Automation

Design star/snowflake models, SCDs, and conformed dimensions.

Automate workflows using Python and Power Automate.

Implement RBAC, data validation tests, freshness/quality checks.

Delivery & Collaboration

Enforce Git Hub workflows (branching, PRs, code reviews) and CI/CD pipelines.

Maintain documentation, release notes, and deployment runbooks.

Partner with stakeholders and coach BI developers/analysts on modeling and SQL best practices.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.

8+ years in data engineering with strong backend focus.

Expert T‑SQL and SQL Server performance/DBA skills.

Hands‑on Airflow and Python experience.

Strong data modeling (star/snowflake, SCDs) and governance foundations.

Experience with Git Hub and CI/CD.

Forex/CFD or online trading domain experience is required.

Strong communication skills and ability to simplify technical concepts.

Analytical, detail‑oriented, and quality‑driven.

Proactive, ownership‑focused, and comfortable working independently.

Collaborative team player with mentoring experience.
