Function: Project Management – Type Approval System & AI Integration (Telecom Industry)

Reporting to: Manager - Government Services

Project Manager to lead and oversee Type Approval System technology projects while integrating AI solutions to optimize network performance, enhance customer experience, and drive operational efficiency. This role combines deep telecom industry knowledge with cutting‑edge AI capabilities to deliver next‑generation technology solutions.

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Lead cross‑functional teams through all project phases, from initiation to closure.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
• Demonstrate in‑depth knowledge of telecom type approval processes and regulations.
• Stay current with evolving telecom standards and regulatory requirements across different markets.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to ensure compliance.
• Oversee the integration of AI models into type approval systems.
• Coordinate with data scientists and AI specialists to align AI capabilities with project requirements.
• Ensure AI components meet regulatory and ethical standards in telecommunications.
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage client expectations and maintain strong relationships.
• Facilitate effective communication between technical teams, management, and clients.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and report on project progress, issues, and risks to senior management.
• Establish and maintain quality standards for all project deliverables.
• Oversee testing and validation processes for both traditional and AI‑enhanced systems.
• Lead, motivate, and mentor project team members.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
• Analyze project outcomes and implement lessons learned.
• Contribute to the development of best practices in managing telecom AI projects.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or a related field.
• Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile Certified Practitioner).
• AI‑specific certifications (e.g., Certified AI Project Manager, PMI CPMAI, AI‑Driven Project Manager Certification).
• Proven experience managing large‑scale IT projects, preferably in the telecommunications or regulatory sector.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and hybrid project management approaches.
• Experience with AI‑driven systems, process automation, and integration of multiple technology platforms.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels, including government officials and technical teams.
• Knowledge of international telecom standards and regulatory compliance processes.
• Ability to manage complex requirements, including cybersecurity and data protection considerations.
• Track record of successful project delivery within strict timelines and budgets.
• Familiarity with change management and user adoption strategies.
