Model Governance - Specialist

Job Summary

As a Model Governance Specialist within the Model Governance Unit of DAAI, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the performance of DAAI models in terms of regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, build quality and ROI.

• Collaborate with your team in maintaining and updating a compendium of mandatory regulations.
• Develop best practices that’s designed to optimize the performance of DAAI models, aligned with existing regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with your team in maintaining and updating a model governance framework.
• Serve as part of an independent validation team to validate DAAI models qualitatively and quantitatively, before and after their implementation.
• Continuously monitor deployed DAAI models to ensure compliance to the framework and verify that metrics such as Model Drift, Downtime, and Budget Utilization are within pre-defined thresholds.
• Provide consultation and support to teams that aren’t operating within the pre-defined thresholds.
• Produce quarterly status reports that synthesize findings from independent validations, monitoring, and consultations, and provide an analysis of systemic issues with recommendations on how to address them.
• Stay informed of industry trends & emerging technologies and proactively identify opportunities to refine DAAI Model Ops.

• A degree in Data Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data science roles, preferably in the banking industry.
• Fluent in English.

Skilled in Model Ops (development, evaluation, monitoring), SAS, Dataiku, and Technical Reporting.
