• Database Management Systems (DBMS):
  Proficiency in popular DBMSs such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgre

• SQL and Query Optimization:
  Strong SQL skills for querying databases and understanding optimization techniques.
• Backup and Recovery:
  Knowledge of backup strategies, disaster recovery planning, and tools for data restoration.
• Performance Tuning:
  Ability to analyze and improve database performance through indexing, query optimization, and resource allocation.
• Security Management:
  Understanding of database security practices, user roles, permissions, and data encryption.
• Data Modelling and Design:
  Skills in designing normalized database schemas and understanding data relationships.
• Scripting and Automation:
  Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Power Shell) to automate tasks.
• Replication and Clustering:
  Knowledge of database replication, high availability solutions, and clustering technologies.
• Cloud Database Management:
  Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle) and managing databases in cloud environments.
• Ellucian Banner (v9) Student Information System Administration:
  Installation, configuration, ORDS APIs, access management, Ethos Identity Services, integration with other systems, upgrades, and patching.
