Health Safety Environment Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced HSE Coordinator to join our growing Operations team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and maintaining the health, safety and environment policies and procedures of Chef Middle East in our UAE, Oman and Qatar branches. Candidates should have a background in HSE standards, possess good analytical skills and enjoy problem-solving.

Health and Safety

• Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification.
• Establish health, safety and environment manual, procedures and policies.
• Ensure compliance with the HSE requirements of regulatory bodies.
• Report, investigate and execute corrective actions of accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Conduct HSE internal audits.
• Promote HSE culture.
• Conduct HSE training.
• Support sustainability programs. Monitor carbon footprints and implement improvement plans.
• Facilitate ammonia and fire mock drills.
• Handle AMCs for Fire Safety and waste collections.
• Other HSE-related tasks.
• Track corrective actions.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in handling and implementing Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards (mandatory).

• BS Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related field (mandatory).
• NEBOSH International General Certification IGC, IOSH or OSHA (mandatory).

• IMS Certified Internal Auditor / ISO
  45001 and ISO
  14001 Internal Auditor (mandatory).
• Basic Life Support (preferred).
• Health and safety specialty trainings (confined space, work at height etc.) (preferred).
• Environmental protection and waste management (preferred).
