A prestigious hospital in Dubai is seeking an experienced CSSD (Central Sterile Services Department) Manager to oversee and manage sterilization operations within the hospital. This role ensures that all surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly cleaned, disinfected, sterilized, and stored in compliance with DHA (Dubai Health Authority) and JCIA (Joint Commission International Accreditation) standards
.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of infection control, and expertise in CSSD best practices
, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and regulatory compliance.

• Oversee the cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Ensure strict compliance with infection control protocols, hospital policies, and accreditation standards
  .
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for CSSD operations.
• Maintain proper documentation and traceability of all sterilized items.
• Coordinate with different hospital departments to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments.
• Supervise the maintenance and functionality of sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and washer-disinfectors

• Lead and manage the CSSD team
  , including technicians and support staff

• Provide training and continuous education on sterilization techniques, infection control, and safety protocols.
• Conduct staff performance evaluations and address any performance gaps.
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and professional development

• Ensure full compliance with DHA, JCIA, and other regulatory standards
  .
• Conduct internal audits to assess and improve sterilization processes.
• Monitor and maintain records of biological, chemical, and physical sterilization tests
  .
• Implement risk management strategies and ensure adherence to infection control measures.
• Stay updated with new technologies and advancements in sterilization techniques
  .

• Monitor and manage inventory of sterile supplies and ensure optimal stock levels
  .
• Coordinate with procurement teams for the purchase of sterilization equipment and supplies.
• Ensure cost-effective utilization of resources while maintaining quality standards.
• Manage departmental budgets and expenditures efficiently
  .

• Bachelors degree in Nursing, Microbiology, or Healthcare Management (preferred).
• Certification in Sterile Processing (e.g., CBSPD, IAHCSMM) Mandatory.

• 5-7 years of experience in CSSD operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
  .
• Strong knowledge of infection control protocols, sterilization techniques, and hospital quality standards
  .
• Familiarity with DHA regulations and JCIA accreditation requirements
  .
• Experience with hospital management systems and sterilization tracking software
  .
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
